AN ADVENTURE / ROLLING HUTS
For Andre’s birthday, I surprised him with a trip to a place called Rolling Huts in Winthrop, Washington. We flew to Seattle, grabbed our supplies for the week, and then headed out on a 4 1/2 hour drive to our remote destination. Located in Washington’s Methow Valley, Rolling Huts is a modern alternative to full-on camping. Their accommodations include a big farm house, six metal and glass huts, safari style tents, and camping. We made hut number 5 our little home for four days. It was calm, quiet, and beautiful. No cell phones, no internet. Just some books, magazines, music, and a lot of food and wine. What an amazing adventure.
